365 Days of Diving
Located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands and is part of Spain. Due to the subtropical climate, it has warm temperatures year-round. Given the location of the island and its proximity to the Gulf Stream, it has regulated water temperatures with the lowest at 18 °C (in February) and the highest at 24 °C (in September). Generally, it’s suitable for diving any time of the year.
Marine Fauna
The waters surrounding Tenerife are home to a diverse array of sea creatures. The marine life here is unique and fascinating, featuring a combination of North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and endemic species. Divers can expect to encounter a variety of sharks, rays, moray eels, scorpion fish, and much more, as well as an abundance of invertebrates such as octopuses, cuttlefish, crabs, starfish, and many others. We have created a custom fish identification booklet to help you identify the various species of marine life you may encounter during your dives with us.
Dive Sites
Tenerife boasts a unique and mesmerising volcanic topography beneath the surface. The island offers an array of excellent shore dive locations for divers of all levels, from shallow reefs starting at around ~5-10 metres to depths of over 100+ metres for deep sea rebreather enthusiasts. With our guidance, you will explore the best dive sites without the added complexity and discomfort that often comes with boat diving. Private / Personalised
At FlowState Divers, the safety and well-being of our divers come first. To make sure of this, we have small groups with a maximum of 3 divers per guide. This ensures that everyone is closely watched and paying attention to one another while diving. It's important to note that all our guided dives are designed to be private experiences, meaning you will not be placed in a group with unfamiliar individuals. This way, your diving adventure is safe and tailored to you, creating a friendly and united atmosphere among all of us.
Dive Gear
We do provide absolutely the best quality equipment to all our divers included in the price. We have the highest quality BCDs and regulators available on today's market including brands such as Apeks & XDeep. In addition to the apparent life support equipment, all divers - by local Spanish law - must carry a surface marker buoy (SMB), compass, and cutting device on every dive. In case you don't have your own, we will supply you with these, included in the price.
Free Pickup
For your convenience, we offer a pickup/drop-off service to your desired location free of charge around the south of the island. In case you are outside the free transport zone, we will calculate a fair price upfront, based on the mileage. We are enthusiastic about capturing photos and videos of all dives, and you can access these at no additional cost after your activity.
